Afternoon at Port Costa Sunday, October 21, 2001 Photos of the afternoon Taken by Jeff D. (click on the photos to see a larger version) It's noon on Sunday and for those of you who made it down to our Sunday Happy Hour in Port Costa, it appears we have jumped back in time a mere 30 years. The parking lot is full of Harleys, bikers and biker babes (love those leather chaps). We amble into the Warehouse to check out the menu of over 450 International beers. While most of us sampled such wares as "Dirty Dick Ale", "Blonde Bomb" and "Fat Ass Beer" there were a few that felt obligated to do testimonials for the Long Island Iced Teas and Margs. The popcorn was at least a week old but somehow fit the situation as we sat in the shadow of the 9 foot Polar Bear and swilled our cheap booze. Then the free buffet opened and true to tradition the Tall Club contingent pounced like locusts on a virgin wheat field. The chili was great and the other soups and salads quite tasty. All in all we had a good turnout of about a dozen STC members, and two delegates from GGTT, Karen and Chuck. We were most happy to see them. In addition, one of our newest prospects, Rachelle joined us for her second event of the weekend and Sharon immediately corralled her to help with convention. The lady is a talented singer and cellist (Rachelle, not Sharon) and we look forward to seeing more of her. Four other prospects showed up at various times in response to our Web site calendar. It's working!!! All in all, a great time. We'll do it again in another six months. Submitted by Jeff D.... our illustrious President. |

Party at Barb's Bordello Friday, October 26, 2001 Pirates and Vikings and Pumpkins... oh my! A King and Queens and a Jester, too! A sheepie and her herder... I-5 and a floozie... with the Grim Reaper hovering over us all! A great time was had by all at Barb's Bordello Halloween Bash. The eats were good (fyi... our President, Jeff D has a weakness...
