Sacramento Tall Club - Scholarship

Every year, Sacramento Tall Club gives out scholarships to qualified and talented High School Seniors who meet the tall club height requirements (at least 5'10" for women and 6'2" for men.) The scholarship award is dedicated to one of our former members, Sharon Heater, who was a big supporter of these young scholars and their many talents and merits, including being tall. Part of the application for the scholarship for each young person is to write an essay titled "What being tall means to me." 2010 Tall Scholars
Again in 2010, the Sacramento Tall Club awarded scholarships to 2 amazing tall young scholars, Daniel Harnish (6'5") and Kayley Marshall (5'11"). Daniel is a graduate of El Camino Fundamental High School and will be attending either Harvard, Princeton, or Brown majoring in Engineering/Biology. Kayley is a graduate of Whitney High School and plans to attend either Harvard or UCLA to major in International Relations. Daniel was also awarded another $1000 scholarship by the TCI Foundation Fund. Congratulations to both of these fantastic young scholars! Good Luck in your future endeavors!

Ryan A. along with Dave Spencer (STC president) and Mary Roberts (STC Scholarship Chair)	Kelly F. receives her STC scholarship at the July 12th brunch at Gary and Mary's house.	2009 Tall Scholars This year we had two scholarship recipients, Ryan Ashby and Kelly Findlay. Ryan, 6'3", is a graduate of Natomas High in Sacramento and is attending CSU Fresno. He received a $500 scholarship. Kelly, 6'2", attended Oak Ridge High School in El Dorado Hills and is now at UC Davis. She received a $250 scholarship from STC and also won a $1000 scholarship from the TCI Foundation fund. Congratulations to both of them!
	2008 Tall Scholar Meet John V. (6'6" tall) our 2008 Scholarship winner. This amazing young man is a graduate of Laguna Creek High School in Elk Grove. On May 21st Mary and Gary Roberts had the pleasure of presenting John with a check for $500 on behalf of our club. Congratulations John!
	2007 Tall Scholar Our 2007 scholarship winner, Kelsey B., with Mary R. We are proud to present this beautiful, 6'1" tall young woman with a $500 scholarship from our club!
